I’m currently a temporary nanny and am considering becoming part time with the family. They have three kids, 5, 1, and a baby on the way. The 5 year old is in kindergarden for 2 ½ hours, and is a handful. I’ll be working part time. And was wondering when the mom goes on maternity leave, will i still be working? Will i be paid the same? I was thinking of charging 15 per hour and then 17 per hour when the baby comes, (in four months) or after she goes back to work. Does that sound reasonable? Right now they’re paying 14.50 between me and the agency.
